Are one off dates OK?
Even in the world of casual and no strings dating, there are plenty of “rules and regulations”. OK, if not rules, there are at least a few common expectations and guidelines that are well worth following.
One of the big questions that dominates the dating scene is whether one off dates are alright. I know that you are only interested in dating without having to follow it up with boring texts and somewhat tedious conversations, but there still seems to be a bit of a division between the people for whom casual dating means regular but unpressurised meet ups, and those for whom it refers to one-off dates that you never have to worry about seeing again.
The question is, which camp would you fall in?
Some people argue that even when there are no strings attached, it is rude to only meet up once. That said, by having to meet up again if you had a good time, you are instantly adding on “strings”. Suddenly the commitment free goes straight back to the realm of the committed, and all the good work is gone. After all, you can have regular dates that are mainly about the sex, but casual dating is just that – casual. This means there is no right or wrong – if you want to meet up again, meet up. If you don’t, don’t. The joy of no strings dating is that anything goes, and there is no pressure or “right and wrong”.
The answer to the question? One off dates are just fine – but going back for seconds or thirds is allowed too!
