Say it straight and I will too.

Cobbled streets, old brick and a dense run of cocktail bars and restaurants. The classic first-drink spot in the city.
The downtown club strip at full volume, and a few blocks away the West End's friendly LGBTQ+ heart around Davie Street.
East-side breweries, wine bars and a local, relaxed crowd. Good for a first meet that feels low pressure.
Vancouver has a reputation for being beautiful, outdoorsy and slightly hard to get to know. People are relaxed and open minded, but they are also out hiking, skiing or paddling at the weekend and in bed earlier than you might expect. Being clear about what you want, and when, is the fastest way through.
The upside is that very little shocks anyone here. Intention tags are read as honest rather than forward, and a plan for one drink on a Thursday is a perfectly normal thing to suggest. Free tonight helps in a city where people often decide late whether they are going out.
It rains a lot from autumn to spring. Pick somewhere cosy and close, and nobody will mind.
Gastown, with its cobbled streets and old brick buildings, is full of cocktail bars and restaurants and is the classic first-drink spot. Yaletown, a few minutes away, is sleeker and suits an after-work glass of something.
Granville Street downtown is the city's club strip, loud and busy at weekends. Davie Village in the West End is the heart of LGBTQ+ Vancouver and a friendly place to start a night. On the east side, Main Street in Mount Pleasant and Commercial Drive have breweries, wine bars and a more local, laid-back crowd, and Kitsilano is good for a sunset drink near the beach.
Meet somewhere public first and use Safety check-in. Downtown bars can stay open late, so take your time.
SkyTrain runs until a little after 1am, and NightBus routes cover the hours after that, including a route between downtown, the airport and Richmond. Ride-hail and taxis work across the region. Plan your own way home before you go, especially on a wet weekend when cars are in demand.
Water and bridges shape distance here. North Vancouver is close as the crow flies but a bridge or a SeaBus away, and Burnaby, Richmond and Surrey are all a fair trip late at night. Keep your radius tight and check where people actually are. Victoria is a ferry ride away, and Seattle is a few hours south for a weekend.
Joining, browsing and setting up your profile are free. Messaging unlocks with a 24-hour pass or a monthly plan, priced in Canadian dollars. Passes never renew, and the monthly plan reminds you before it renews.
Every member passes an age check before anyone can see them, every photo is checked by a moderator, and verified members carry a red tick.
Meet somewhere public first, tell a friend with Safety check-in, and close any chat that does not feel right. No explanations needed.
Until a little after 1am. After that, NightBus routes run overnight, and ride-hail and taxis are available across the region.
Gastown for a cocktail, Main Street or Commercial Drive for something more relaxed, or Davie Village for a friendly night in the West End.
Often, yes, but check the trip first. Bridges and late-night transit can turn a short distance into a long journey, so agree on somewhere easy for both of you.
Very. Clear intentions are seen as honest here, and suggesting one drink on a weeknight is completely normal.
