Complaints Policy
Last updated: 3 November 2026
This policy explains how to complain to No Strings Dating and what we do with your complaint. No Strings Dating is operated by Digital Dudes Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 07851009. Our registered office is 5 The Square, Bagshot, Surrey, GU19 5AX, United Kingdom.
This policy forms part of our Terms of Use and our Acceptable Use Policy. Anyone can use it, whether or not they are a member.
1. How to complain
Use our Contact page and choose the topic that fits best. For complaints about a member, content or illegal behaviour, choose "Reporting Misuse or illegal behaviour". You can also email support@nostringsdating.net. We do not have a telephone line.
Please tell us:
- your name and the email address on your account, if you have one;
- what your complaint is about, with profile names, dates and links where you can;
- what you would like us to do.
To report a profile or message, you can also use the Report button on that profile or conversation.
2. What we do and how long it takes
- We acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days.
- We look into it fairly, and we may ask you for more information.
- We aim to give you our decision within 14 days. If we need longer, we will tell you why and when to expect an answer.
- We tell you what we decided and why.
Reports about children, threats to life and illegal content are dealt with first.
3. Complaints about content removal or account restriction
When we remove your content, limit features, ask you to verify your ID, or suspend or close your account, we send you a statement of reasons. It tells you what we did, which rule was broken and how we found out, unless the law stops us from saying so.
If you think we got it wrong, you can ask for a review through our Contact page. A different person from the one who made the first decision will carry out the review. We will tell you the outcome and our reasons. If we find we made a mistake, we will put things right, for example by restoring your content or account.
We cannot review decisions where the law stops us from discussing them, such as reports to the authorities about child sexual abuse.
4. Complaints about how we handled a report
If you reported something and are unhappy with how we dealt with it, tell us through our Contact page. For example, you might think we were too slow, or that we should have acted. A different person will look at how your report was handled, and we will tell you the outcome.
5. Reporting illegal content
You can report content you believe is illegal, even if you are not a member. We use photo moderation (Sightengine automated checks, plus the network's own human moderators and our own internal processes), the Didit age check, ID verification by Didit where we ask for it, and reports from members to find illegal content.
- Child sexual abuse material and terrorism content are removed as soon as we find them. We close the account and report it to the authorities. See our Child Safety Standards and Law Enforcement Policy.
- Intimate images reported by the person shown, or by someone acting for them, are removed within 48 hours.
- Other illegal content is removed as soon as we become aware of it.
For our rules on exploitation and abuse, see our Anti-Trafficking, Exploitation and Abuse Statement. If someone is in immediate danger, call the police first.
6. Harmful digital communications (New Zealand)
If you complain about a harmful digital communication under New Zealand's Harmful Digital Communications Act 2015, we tell the author within 48 hours. We give them 48 hours to respond before we decide whether to remove the content. We will tell you the outcome.
7. Billing complaints
For complaints about payments, renewals or refunds, please see our Refund Policy and our Membership and Pricing page first. If that does not answer your question, contact us through our Contact page.
8. If you are still unhappy
If you are not happy with our final answer, you can contact an outside body:
- In the United Kingdom, you can contact Ofcom about online safety issues in general. Ofcom does not deal with individual complaints, but it uses them to inform its work.
- For complaints about how we handle your personal data, you can contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). See our Privacy Policy.
Members in other countries may also contact their local regulator or consumer body.
