Casual should never mean careless. Everything on No Strings Dating is built so you can say what you want, meet who you like, and stay safe doing it. Here is what we do, and what you can do too.

What we check before anyone sees you

Every member is an adult, and we check rather than ask. Every member passes a selfie age check with our partner Didit before their profile is shown to anyone, including members who joined years ago, the next time they sign in. If the selfie cannot confirm their age, they verify with ID instead.

NO STRINGS DATING DOES NOT CONDUCT CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECKS ON ITS MEMBERS. The age check and ID verification confirm age and identity, not someone's history, so always meet safely.

Every photo is checked before it goes live. Our moderation looks for photos that are not of the member, photos taken from elsewhere online, and anything that breaks our content policy. Profiles that look like scams are stopped before they reach you.

The red tick: verified members

Members can verify their identity with our partner Didit: a photo of a passport, driving licence or national ID card, and a selfie to match. It takes about a minute, and your documents are never shown to other members. Verified profiles carry a red tick.

We sometimes ask a member to verify before their account is approved, for example if the age check could not confirm their age or they joined through a VPN. Verification is a one-off £1.99, whether we ask or you choose to. Women who verify get full membership free.

Spotting a scam

Scammers want one of three things: your money, your details, or to move you somewhere we cannot see. The warning signs are nearly always the same.

  • They ask for money, gift cards, crypto or a loan, whatever the story. Nobody genuine needs that from someone they met on a dating site.
  • They push you to WhatsApp, Telegram or text within the first few messages.
  • They will not show a recent photo, or their photos look like a model shoot.
  • They send a link to "verify" or "prove you are safe" on another site. We will never ask you to do that.
  • Their story keeps changing: where they live, what they do, why they cannot meet.

Meeting someone new

A few habits make a big difference, and most take seconds.

  • Chat on the site first, and keep your number, address and workplace to yourself until you are sure.
  • Meet somewhere public the first time, and get there and back on your own.
  • Use Safety check-in: tell us who you are meeting, where and when, and send the link to a friend. If you have not checked in by the time you chose, we nudge you, and your friend can see whether you have.
  • Stay in control of your drink, and leave whenever something feels wrong. You do not owe anyone an explanation.

Consent, every time

Saying what you want up front is not the same as agreeing to it in advance. Anyone can change their mind at any point, before or during, and that is the end of it.

Consent is clear, freely given and sober enough to mean it. If you are not sure, ask. If the answer is anything but a yes, it is a no.

Sexual health

Use condoms, and test regularly: after a new partner, and every few months if you meet people often. Testing is free or low-cost in every country we serve, and it is confidential.

Reporting and blocking

Report a member from their profile or from your chat, and choose the reason that fits. Reports are read by a person, and serious ones are dealt with first. The member is not told who reported them.

Not feeling it? Close the chat. One tap, no explanations needed, and they cannot message you again.

Help where you are

If you are in danger, call the emergency services first. For everything else, these services are free and confidential.

Quick answers

Are the profiles on No Strings Dating real?

Every member passes an age check with a selfie before anyone can see them, every photo is checked before it goes live, and members who have verified their ID carry a red tick.

Will anyone know I use the site?

Only if you tell them. Payments show under a neutral company name, and you choose what your profile shows.

What happens when I report someone?

A person reads every report. Depending on what we find, we may warn the member, ask them to verify, remove content or close their account. We never tell them who reported them.

Someone asked me for money. What should I do?

Do not send it, and report them from their profile or your chat. Asking for money is the clearest sign of a scam, and we act on it quickly.
