Commuter towns like Bray, Greystones, Maynooth and Swords are close on paper but feel far at 2am. If you live out that way, widen your distance a little and suggest meeting somewhere halfway. Cork, Galway and Belfast are all an easy weekend trip by train or bus if a fling has the legs.
