Casino bars and lounges that never close. Busy, bright and great for visitors, as long as you find somewhere quiet enough to talk.
Downtown's independent bar strip, with a younger, more local crowd than the casinos and a properly late night.
Breweries, cocktail bars and galleries just south of downtown. The locals' favourite for a first drink off the Strip.
Las Vegas has two dating scenes running side by side. One is the visitor's Vegas: bachelor and bachelorette weekends, conventions, birthdays and people with a hotel room and three nights to fill. The other is the locals' Vegas, a big, spread-out city where plenty of people work nights and live a long way from the Strip.
No Strings Dating works for both, as long as you are clear which one you are. Intention tags make it obvious if you are here for the weekend or here for good, and Free tonight is made for a city where the evening can start at midnight.
Visitors: set your location before you fly, so you can see who is around when you land. Locals: you already know the Strip is not where most of you actually go out.
The Strip is the obvious choice for visitors: casino bars and lounges are open, busy and full of people, which makes them good for a first drink. They are also loud and expensive, so pick somewhere you can actually talk.
Locals tend to head downtown. Fremont East has a row of independent bars and a looser crowd than the casinos, and the Arts District, a short hop south, is full of breweries, cocktail bars and galleries. Off the Strip, Summerlin and Henderson have their own neighbourhood bars and restaurants, handy if you both live out there.
Wherever you go, keep the first meet public and keep your own key card in your own pocket. Use Safety check-in to tell a friend which casino or bar you are in, because "I am on the Strip" is not much help to anyone.
Bars in Las Vegas can serve around the clock, so there is no last call to work around. The Deuce bus runs 24 hours along the Strip and up to Fremont Street downtown, and ride-hail picks up from marked zones at most resorts. Book your own ride home, and give yourself time: walking between "neighbouring" casinos takes longer than it looks.
For locals, distance matters. Summerlin, Henderson and North Las Vegas are a fair drive apart, so set your search radius to what you would actually drive at the end of a shift. Los Angeles is a few hours away by road, and plenty of Angelenos come in for the weekend.
Joining, browsing and setting up your profile are free. Messaging unlocks with a 24-hour pass or a monthly plan, priced in dollars. Passes never renew, and the monthly plan reminds you before it renews.
Every member passes an age check before anyone can see them, every photo is checked by a moderator, and verified members carry a red tick.
Meet somewhere public first, tell a friend with Safety check-in, and close any chat that does not feel right. No explanations needed.
It is one of the easiest cities for it. Set your location before you fly, switch on Free tonight when you land, and suggest a quiet bar in your own resort.
Fremont East and the Arts District downtown, or neighbourhood bars in Summerlin and Henderson. Most locals avoid the Strip on their nights off.
Many never do. Nevada has no statewide closing time, so the night ends when you decide it does.
